  3. Prepare an emergency kit and keep it in your vehicle. Make sure that you and your passengers are prepared for any winter driving emergency.
  4. Check weather and road conditions
    at .
  5. Clear all the snow from your vehicle before you drive.
  6. Remember to buckle up, and ensure your children are correctly belted in the appropriate car seat.
  7. During the winter season, road conditions are alway unpredictable. Adjust your driving habits and ensure your safety on the road.
  8. Take care when meeting or passing snow ploughs on the roadway. City and highway maintenance crews work diligently to keep roads clear and safe. Slow down and take extra precautions in areas where ploughs are working.
